Thanks for your reply Keith. Good luck with the second instalment...although with Morocco on the horizon I wonder when it will get finished!

Hi Dave
Glad you enjoyed the book. Your email address didn't come through so I'm adding this here.
We had four fantastic years with Katie and Boris and I am one-third of the way through a follow-up book. However, we then wanted a different experience so they were both sold and we went to the other extreme to see if we could spend six months in a 5.64-metre van - hence the tour through the French Alps, Italy to Sicily and back round the toe and heel of Italy. The good news is we are still together and speaking! It was a very different tour taking the van through Alpine mountain passes, the smallest medieval village streets and wild camping on remote Sicilian cliffs. (The book is written but needs serious editing.)
Now we are off to Morocco!
Thanks for your interest .
Happy Travels for yourself.

Hello, I enjoyed the book, got it off Amazon. I'm just a wannabe/dreamer at present due to work committments so I'm doing lots of research in the meantime. I was interested to read on the blog that for the Sciliy trip you have downsized. I'd be keen to learn how the difference in size/luxury compares and whether it was just the size inconvenience that lead to the change of vehicle. And did Boris go to Sciliy?

Hi Keith,
Just wanted to say how pleased I am to hear you are writing a follow up to HKPB; bought it last year, thoroughly enjoyed it and am now re-reading it for the second time, which for someone of my typical literary attention span (I've started far more books than I have ever finished) is high praise indeed! You'll be pleased to hear I'm most definitely in the 'inspired' rather than 'cured' camp, and after toying with the idea of buying a motorhome for several years, reading about your adventures has certainly added impetus to get on and do it ASAP!
All the best with the new volume, let me know as soon as it's on sale - any chance of some 'teaser' pics of the new 'van and the Italy trip to keep us all going in the meantime?! Best wishes and happy travelling to you and Gail.

I still haven't graduated from a swag on the back of my ute, but its getting harder and harder to haul myself into a vertical position each morning! I too am approaching the day when it will be up sticks and off into the wide blue yonder! Maybe a "Katie" would be the best way to do it. I shall make a point of reading the book and taking careful notes!
Maybe you should consider something completely different and run Katie around outback Oz as research for the next book. Regards Peter Detchon ( a blast from the past Chelsea days)

A really great book that should be on your list if you are going RVing, full of tips and hints and much more. We think it is so good we provide one free to all our customers of the RV's that we sell. So you can get yours free with and RV from us, or just buy a book, either way, worth a good read and laugh as well. Well done Keith, whens the next publication due out then?
