In November 2009 some disgruntled authors sued Diggory Press/Exposure Publishing. As a result Diggory appears to be out of business and the book out of print.
Hence I have made the Ebook available as a FREE Download - Enjoy! and send comments.

Anyone considering 'swanning off' in a Motorhome should acquire this book immediately! And anyone who just wants a pleasant, light, summer read should do so too.
Well observed and entertaining.
VERY INTERESTING, FUNNY & INFORMATIVE READ
An informative, intelligent, fun, easy read. It is very thought provoking and makes you wonder why you go to work every day. I recommend it strongly.
'Just finished reading How Katie Pulled Boris I can heartily recommend it, it is a very well observed and splendidly written account about travels around Europe in an ARV towing a car. Even if you're not planning a European tour, every motorhome owner will enjoy this book, and at £8.99 it is a snip.
I got my copy at Amazon with free postage (I bought 2) , Go and buy a copy, you won't regret it.'
‘I got my copy this morning. I'd intended keeping it for when we go away but just dipped into it earlier and now am third of the way through it and unlikely to have the willpower to put it down.’
A really great book that should be on your list if you are going RVing, full of tips and hints and much more. We think it is so good we provide one free to all our customers ... a good read and laugh as well. Well done Keith, Simon Edgecombe (Mercury ARV)
I can honestly say it is much better as a comedy than the film RV and as a guide it is superb.
Go and get a copy straight away.

Keith’s wife Gail is looking forward to travelling the world and staying in comfortable hotels when Keith takes early retirement from his high-pressure job. But he has a shock in store for her. He unexpectedly decides to buy a huge American Winnebago-type motorhome (RV), tow a car behind ‘so they can bugger off for months on end around Europe’. Their only experience a brief episode 30 years earlier, when their VW pop-top blew up on a remote mountain road. Gail reveals her fear that anything mechanical will always breakdown and is aghast ‘You want to do what?’
How Katie Pulled Boris follows them as they search for an RV, encounter dodgy dealers, nearly buy illegal RVs then with only one weekend’s experience set off on their six months 3,800-mile journey with their RV (Katie) towing their car (Boris) through France and Spain. As they try to come to terms with travelling in such a monster there is a continuum of hilarious scrapes often involving narrow entrances, dangling fairy lights, toilet waste or the police, along with acute and hilarious observations on fellow campers, the camping lifestyle, the countries and their people.
If you’ve ever wondered what it may be like to do the European tour in an RV, motorhome or caravan How Katie Pulled Boris may encourage or, cure you. Safe in your armchair it will entertain you.
Keith Mashiter
Diggory Press Ltd £8.99 paperback
"As you can probably gather from the title, this is a light-hearted, humorous account of the author, Keith Mashiter’s, and his wife Gail’s travels around Europe in a 48ft-long outfit, comprising a huge, luxury American RV – ‘Katie’ – with a Mercedes A-Class A140 – ‘Boris’ – in tow. As might be expected, such a formidable outfit creates problems for the couple even before they have crossed the Channel. After clearing, importing and licensing hurdles, they are finally ready to set off on their 3800-mile journey through France and Spain. But along the way they encounter a few technical problems with ‘Katie’ (including a punctured toilet waste hose…), and find themselves in a string of sticky situations as they attempt to squeeze through ancient town walls, miss a site because they are unable to reverse and get stuck in another. All of this is related with a generous helping of
tongue-in-cheek humour that is sure to keep you chortling. This is a highly entertaining read that should also educate and inspire anyone considering a similar trip. "

MOTORCARAVAN MOTORHOME MONTHLY (October 2007)
Ever fancied taking early retirement and travelling through Europe in a nice big RV? Well, that's exactly what Keith and Gail Mashiter did, but not without some intial resistance from Gail - whose idea of retirement involved travelling the world and staying in luxury hotels.
However, optimism won out over experience and the adventure began! How Katie Pulled Boris is the story of how two greenhorns got themselves kitted out with an RV and a towcar, and then hit Europe for six months. Whether this is bravery or idiocy, I leave to your discretion...
This is not a 'how to do it book'. In fact, in some ways, it's a 'how not to do it' book - although that doesn't detract from the fun the Mashiters had on their travels, or the fun that is to be had reading about them. Who hasn't wanted to refuse to pay extra charges on French toll roads? And which of us will not quite admire the chutpah that is necessarily involved in towing a car through France with its alarm sounding piercingly and intermittently?
PRACTICAL MOTORHOME (November 2007)
If you enjoy sitting on site, chatting with fellow motorcaravanners about your travels, the book How Katie Pulled Boris might just take your fancy.
How Katie... is by Keith Mashiter who gave up his job in finance to buy Katie the RV and set off touring through France and Spain with his wife Gail for six months towing their car (Boris). It's a bit like having Keith in your own van as he recounts overcoming problems big and small on their travels, including their punctured toilet-waste hose which was like a python with diarrhoea and getting wedged in a Spanish tollbooth. Anyone thinking of fulltiming could do worse than flicking through this book.

If you fancy the lifestyle and are thinking of investing in a big RV, Keith's account will give you an idea of some of the practical issues involved in touring with an RV – in the knowledge that Keith and Gail have experienced these things first hand. Click HERE for the full review.

'Overall, the book is a worthwhile read and an eye opener on the RV lifestyle in Europe. It gave me more than a passing desire to take an RV trip there. If we do, I'll be taking Keith's book along.'
